Tasks
The team task board — assignment, statuses, due dates, and tasks raised automatically.
Tasks are the team's work board. Where Reminders are personal nudges, tasks are units of work that get assigned, moved through statuses and reported on.

1. Getting to the page
Tasks sits in the top section of the navigation, at /client/tasks. Every task is scoped to your account, and who can see which task is enforced in the database rather than by hiding rows.
Tasks are hidden on free Voice-AI-only accounts.
2. The board
Tasks are shown as a board with a column per status, and a sidebar for filtering by assignee, due date and label.
Drag a card between columns to change its status.
3. Creating a task
Click New task and give it:
- A title — what needs doing.
- A description — optional detail.
- An assignee — who owns it.
- A due date.
- A priority.
- A link — optionally to a lead, contact, deal or call, so the task opens with its context.
4. Assignment
A task has one owner. Reassigning notifies the new owner. A task with no assignee sits in the unassigned column so it cannot quietly go nowhere.
5. Statuses and due dates
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| To do | Not started. |
| In progress | Being worked on. |
| Done | Complete. |
A task past its due date and not done is overdue, and is counted separately on the Dashboard and in Reports.
6. Tasks created automatically
You do not create most tasks by hand. They arrive from:
- Call Actions — the Create task action, fired from what was discussed on a call. This runs automatically by default, because a wrongly-created task costs someone one click.
- Stage automations — moving a deal into a pipeline stage that has a task attached.
- Form submissions — a form configured to raise a task on submit.
- Sequences — a sequence step of the "task" kind, which pauses the cadence until a person does something.
Each carries a link back to whatever created it.
7. Filtering and search
Filter by assignee, status, priority, due date and label; search titles and descriptions. The board remembers the filter you were on.
8. Where tasks appear elsewhere
- Dashboard — open and overdue counts.
- Reports — the Tasks and Task breakdown widgets.
- Leads and deals — tasks linked to that record, on its timeline.
- Numbers — activity metrics.
9. Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Tasks aren't in the nav | Free Voice-AI-only account | Tasks need a CRM plan |
| A task appeared that nobody created | A Call Action, stage automation, form or sequence created it | Open it — it links to its source |
| A colleague can't see a task | Their role does not reach that record | Check Team |
| Overdue count doesn't match the board | The board is filtered | Clear the filters |
