Email Campaigns
One-off emails to a contact list, sent from your own verified domain.
A campaign is a one-off email to a contact list, sent from your own domain. Where a sequence is a cadence that runs itself over days, a campaign is a single send.
Campaigns are Growth and above. Sending allowance: 25,000 sends/month on Growth, 100,000 on Command.

1. Getting to the page
Click Campaigns in the Marketing section, at /client/campaigns. The header reads "One-off emails to a contact list, sent from your own domain."
This is not the same page as voice Campaigns. Outbound calling campaigns live in the Voice AI hub. These are email.
2. The monthly strip
Three figures for the current month: campaigns sent, emails delivered, and how much of your send allowance is used.
3. Creating a campaign
New campaign takes:
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Name | Internal — how you find it later. |
| Audience | Which audience to send to. The resolved recipient count is shown, not rows on file. |
| From | The verified sending address. |
| Subject | The subject line. |
| Body | The content, from a template or written here. |
| Schedule | Send now, or at a time. |
Variables resolve per recipient. Preview against a real record before sending.
4. Sending domains
Bulk email sends from your own verified domain, not a shared Sysevo address. Verify a sending domain in Settings → Email by adding the DNS records shown.
Until a domain is verified, campaigns can be built and audiences enrolled, but nothing sends — and the page says so up front rather than queueing mail that will never leave.
Custom sending domains are Growth and above.
5. Scheduling
Send immediately or schedule for a time. A scheduled campaign can be edited or cancelled up to the moment it starts; once sending has begun, edits apply to nothing already in flight.
6. Suppression and the frequency cap
Every send passes through the same guards:
- Opt-outs — anyone who unsubscribed is excluded, permanently and account-wide.
- Hard bounces — addresses that have hard-bounced are excluded.
- Deduplication — one send per person, however many rows they appear on.
- The frequency cap — nobody is mailed more often than the cap allows, across campaigns and sequences together.
This is why the recipients figure on an audience is lower than its row count, and why that figure is the one worth planning against.
Every campaign email carries an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribes are honoured immediately.
7. Results
Per campaign: sent, delivered, opened, clicked, bounced, unsubscribed. Replies thread back into your Inbox as ordinary mail.
Campaign metrics also feed Reports.
8. The send allowance
Sends are counted per calendar month against your plan's allowance. The allowance is claimed rather than checked — a send worker is granted a specific number and sends exactly that many, so two overlapping workers cannot both slip past the ceiling and double-send.
If a send would exceed the allowance, it is granted the remainder and stops there rather than partially failing.
9. Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The page shows an upgrade screen | Campaigns need Growth or above | See Plans & Subscriptions |
| Nothing sends | No verified sending domain | Settings → Email |
| Far fewer recipients than expected | Opt-outs, bounces, dedupe and the frequency cap | Correct — see Audiences |
| High bounce rate | A stale or purchased list | Verify addresses before importing; use Lead Sourcing |
| The campaign stopped mid-send | The monthly allowance was reached | Check the monthly strip |
| Someone got two emails | Two different addresses for the same person | Merge them in Contacts |
