Contracts

Contracts, templates and digital signatures.

Contracts covers agreements and digital signatures — drafting from a template, sending for signature, tracking who has signed, and storing the executed document.

E-signature, contracts and NDAs are on every plan. Contract templates are Launch and above.

1. Getting to the page

Click Contracts in the Docs section, at /client/contracts. Templates live at /client/contract-templates.

2. Creating a contract

New contract starts from a template or from scratch. A contract carries:

  • The counterparty — usually a lead or contact, so it lands on their timeline.
  • The body, with variables resolved from the record.
  • Signature blocks — one per signer.
  • Any attachments.

3. Contract templates

Templates are the reusable versions: your standard terms, your service agreement, your NDA. Variables fill in the counterparty, the dates, the amounts and the scope from the record it is raised against.

Editing a template changes future contracts, never one already sent.

4. Sending for signature

Send to one or several signers. Each gets a unique link. You can set a signing order where one party must sign before the next is asked.

5. The signing experience

The signer opens the link, reads the document, and signs — typed, drawn or uploaded. No Sysevo account is needed.

On completion both sides get the executed PDF, and it is filed against the record.

6. Tracking status

StatusMeaning
DraftNot sent.
SentAwaiting signature.
Partially signedSome signers done.
SignedFully executed.
DeclinedA signer refused.
ExpiredThe link lapsed.

The detail view shows who has signed, when, and from where.

7. Editing

A draft can be edited freely. A sent contract cannot be edited — void it and send a new one. That is deliberate: a document that can change after signing is not evidence of anything.

8. NDAs

NDAs work the same way and have their own public form, so someone can sign an NDA before they are a customer at all.

9. Where contracts fit

A proposal or a quote is accepted → a contract is sent → it is signed → a payment link or invoice follows. Each step carries the record forward, so the deal, the contract, the payment and the ledger entry are all on one timeline.
